Warehouse Associate

Job Purpose

To support daily warehouse operations by efficiently handling receiving, storage, picking, packing, inventory movement, and dispatch activities while maintaining accuracy, safety, and proper documentation.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive incoming materials and verify quantity, item codes, and physical condition against documents.

- Unload, move, and store materials in designated warehouse locations.

- Pick materials/products according to orders, pick lists, or system instructions.

- Pack and label products correctly for dispatch.

- Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles.

- Ensure proper storage and handling of materials according to warehouse procedures.

- Perform physical stock counts and assist with cycle counting and inventory audits.

- Report damaged, missing, excess, or incorrect materials to the supervisor.

- Maintain accurate records of material movements and warehouse activities.

- Use barcode scanners, handheld devices, or warehouse management systems where applicable.

- Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure the warehouse is clean and organized.

- Follow FIFO/FEFO and other inventory control procedures where applicable.

- Follow all warehouse safety rules, PPE requirements, and company SOPs.

- Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, transport, and other internal teams when required.

- Support other warehouse activities assigned by the supervisor or management.

Required Skills

- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory handling.

- Ability to understand product codes, quantities, labels, and warehouse documents.

- Basic computer knowledge is an advantage.

- Ability to use barcode scanners or handheld devices.

- Good physical stamina and ability to handle warehouse activities.

- Attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to work as part of a team.

- Good communication and coordination skills.

- Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, or overtime when required.
