Job Description
Role: Trading Company Accountant
Reports to: Finance Manager or Chief Accountant
Core Focus: Ledger accuracy, trade invoice reconciliation, inventory cost tracking, and cash flow monitoring
Key Responsibilities
- Trade & Inventory Accounting
- Reconcile purchase orders, sales contracts, and trade invoices.
- Track inventory valuation, shipping, and logistics costs.
- Monitor stock movement and account for shrinkage or damaged goods
General Ledger & Month-End Closing
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries.
- Perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations.
- Execute month-end accruals, prepayments, and variance analyses
Prepare profit and loss (P&L) statements and balance sheets.
Process local tax filings (e.g., GST/VAT and withholding taxes).
Assist internal and external auditors with financial documentation
Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting software (e.g., Tally Prime, SAP, QuickBooks, or Oracle).
