SENIOR ARCHITECT – HIGH-END RESIDENTIAL & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Experience: Minimum 5 years

Location: Cmilano Experience Centre, Chennai

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Architect with a strong background in high-end residential interiors and luxury projects. The ideal candidate should have excellent design sensibility, strong customer-handling skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to lead and inspire a team of architects.

Key Responsibilities

1. High-End Residential Design

* Handle and lead high-end residential interior projects from concept to execution.

* Develop inspiring and practical design concepts tailored to client requirements.

* Provide creative design solutions while maintaining aesthetics, functionality, quality and budget.

* Stay updated with the latest trends in luxury interiors, materials, finishes, lighting and technology.

2. Customer Handling & Consultation

* Meet and understand client requirements, lifestyle, preferences and expectations.

* Present design concepts and solutions confidently to clients.

* Build strong relationships with customers and guide them through the complete design journey.

* Handle client discussions professionally and convert ideas into clear design solutions.

3. Cmilano Experience Centre – Walk-ins & Business Development

* Welcome and engage walk-in customers at the Cmilano Experience Centre.

* Understand their requirements and introduce them to Cmilano’s design and execution capabilities.

* Convert qualified walk-ins into potential projects and business opportunities.

* Conduct design consultations and presentations that create a premium customer experience.

* Follow up with prospects and work closely with the business-development team to convert leads into projects.

4. Costing & Commercial Understanding

* Have a good understanding of interior project costing, material pricing and current market trends.

* Prepare and review quotations, BOQs and project estimates.

* Recommend appropriate design and material solutions based on the client’s budget.

* Balance design aspirations with commercial viability and project feasibility.

5. Team Leadership & Mentoring

* Guide and mentor junior architects and designers.

* Review their designs and provide constructive feedback.

* Help junior team members improve their design thinking, client communication and technical knowledge.

* Lead by example and establish a strong culture of professionalism, quality and accountability.

* Act as a role model and inspire the team to continuously learn and grow.

What We Are Looking For

* Minimum 5 years of relevant architectural/interior design experience.

* Proven experience handling high-end residential or luxury interior projects.

* Strong design sense and ability to create inspiring concepts.

* Excellent communication and client-management skills.

* Strong presentation and negotiation abilities.

* Good understanding of materials, finishes, costing and quotations.

* Knowledge of current and emerging interior design trends.

* Ability to independently handle clients, projects and teams.

* Strong business-development mindset with the ability to convert opportunities into projects.
