Position: Executive – Assembly Technician
Industry: Electric Vehicle / Automotive

About the RoleWe are looking for technically oriented and enthusiastic candidates to join the EV Assembly Technician team of a leading electric bus manufacturer.
The role involves supporting electric vehicle assembly and production operations, ensuring proper fitment of components, adherence to work instructions, quality standards, safety procedures, and production targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day EV assembly and production activities on the shop floor.
- Perform and monitor assembly of various EV components and systems as per defined work instructions.
- Ensure proper fitment and assembly of electrical, mechanical, and EV-specific components.
- Work with production teams in areas such as battery pack, motor, controller, wiring harness, chassis, body, interior, and other vehicle assemblies.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and assembly process standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, torque tools, measuring instruments, and other assembly equipment safely and correctly.
- Ensure proper tightening, torque application, alignment, fitment, and connectivity of components.
- Conduct basic inspection of assembled components and identify defects or abnormalities.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Production teams to resolve assembly-related issues.
- Identify and report electrical, mechanical, fitment, and wiring-related issues during assembly.
- Support rework and rectification activities as instructed by the production/quality team.
- Ensure proper handling and installation of EV batteries and high-voltage components by following prescribed safety procedures.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and 5S standards at the workplace.
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements and PPE guidelines.
- Achieve daily production targets while maintaining required quality standards.
- Maintain production, inspection, rework, and other relevant records.
- Support process improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and vehicle build efficiency.
- Desired SkillsBasic knowledge of Electric Vehicles and automotive systems.
- Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical components.
- Knowledge of EV components such as battery, motor, controller, BMS, wiring harness, charger, and DC/DC converter will be an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of assembly processes and shop-floor operations.
- Ability to read and understand basic drawings, work instructions, and wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and measuring instruments.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office / Excel.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts and on weekends based on production requirements.
Educational QualificationDiploma / B.E. / B.Tech in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Automobile Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics & Communication Engineering
- Mechatronics
- EV / Electric Vehicle Technology
- Other relevant engineering disciplines
Experience Freshers: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech candidates with an interest in EV manufacturing and assembly operations are encouraged to apply.
Experienced Candidates: Candidates with experience in automotive assembly, EV manufacturing, automobile production, auto ancillary, vehicle assembly, electrical assembly, mechanical assembly, or production operations will be preferred.
