Heavy Vehicle Driver

We are looking for responsible and experienced commercial vehicle drivers to transport furniture, décor materials, and event equipment safely and on time to various event locations. The driver must ensure proper vehicle maintenance, follow traffic rules, and support loading and unloading activities when required.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Drive company vehicles such as Eicher, Dost, BharatBenz, and Ashok Leyland Partner safely.
2. Transport furniture, décor materials, and event equipment to and from event venues and warehouses.
3. Ensure timely delivery and collection of materials according to the assigned schedule.
4. Check vehicle condition, tyres, lights, brakes, fuel, and documents before starting each trip.
5. Ensure materials are properly loaded, secured, and protected during transportation.
6. Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and report any damage, breakdown, or maintenance requirement immediately.
7. Maintain trip sheets, kilometre records, fuel records, and other required documents.
8. Follow traffic rules, company policies, and safety procedures.
9. Coordinate with the Operations Team and Event Coordinators regarding delivery and collection schedules.
10. Assist with loading and unloading materials when required and perform other transport-related duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

1. Valid driving licence appropriate for the assigned vehicle category.
2. Previous experience driving commercial goods vehicles.
3. Knowledge of Chennai routes and nearby locations.
4. Good driving skills and road safety awareness.
5. Responsible, punctual, disciplined, and willing to work according to event schedules.
6. Ability to handle furniture and event materials carefully.
