Reporting To: Production In-charge / Polishing Supervisor

1. Job PurposeTo carry out gold jewellery polishing, buffing and finishing activities while maintaining the required quality standards, production targets and safety procedures.

1. 2. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform polishing and finishing of gold jewellery as per company quality standards.
2. Operate polishing machines, buffing wheels and other related tools safely.
3. Ensure smooth finishing, uniform shine and removal of scratches or surface marks.
4. Handle different types of gold jewellery, including chains, rings, bangles, earrings and other ornaments.
5. Maintain the required daily production targets in terms of quantity and weight (grams).
6. Identify and report jewellery defects, damage or finishing issues to the supervisor.
7. Ensure minimum gold dust and material loss during polishing operations.
8. Follow gold material issue, collection and reconciliation procedures.
9. Maintain cleanliness of the polishing machine, tools and workstation.
10. Coordinate with other production departments to ensure timely completion of orders.
11. Follow workplace safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment.
12. Maintain discipline, punctuality and attendance.

• 3. Educational QualificationMinimum 8th / 10th standard preferred.
• Relevant technical knowledge and practical polishing experience are more important than formal qualifications.
• 4. ExperienceMinimum 2–5 years of experience in gold jewellery polishing preferred.
• Candidates with independent jewellery polishing skills will be given preference.
• Experience in jewellery manufacturing units is desirable.
• 5. Technical Skills RequiredKnowledge of gold jewellery polishing and buffing techniques.
• Ability to operate polishing machines and related equipment.
• Knowledge of polishing compounds, buffs and finishing materials.
• Ability to identify surface defects and finishing irregularities.
• Understanding of gold jewellery handling and material control.
