Purchase Executive

Job Description

We are hiring a Purchase Executive for our solar mounting structures manufacturing and solar BOS supply business. The candidate will handle supplier sourcing, price negotiation, purchase orders, and delivery follow-up to ensure materials are available on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Source suppliers for aluminium profiles, steel materials, fasteners, FRP products, solar BOS components, and consumables.
• Obtain quotations, prepare price comparisons, and negotiate rates, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Check stock and purchase requirements with stores and production teams.
• Prepare purchase orders with correct specifications, quantities, prices, and terms.
• Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery and resolve shortages, damaged materials, and replacements.
• Coordinate with stores, production, quality, and accounts for material receipt and invoice verification.
• Maintain vendor details, purchase records, and pending order reports in Excel or ERP.
• Develop alternative suppliers and control purchase costs while maintaining quality.

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of purchase experience, preferably in manufacturing, engineering, or the solar industry.
• Good negotiation, communication, and supplier follow-up skills.
• Working knowledge of Excel, purchase orders, GST invoices, and ERP systems.
• Ability to understand material specifications and basic technical drawings.
• Tamil and English communication skills preferred.
• Responsible, organised, and able to manage multiple purchase requirements.

Preferred Experience: Procurement of aluminium extrusions, steel, fasteners, electrical items, or solar components.
