Job Description
JD for Site Operator & Helper AAI Chennai

Location - Chennai
Qualifications: High School (12th standard), Diploma, ITI (Electrical / Fitter/ Plumber) Must have whatsapp enabled mobile phone.
Salary: CTC 20000 - 23000 per month (Salary will be based on qualifications)
Experience: no experience ok but prefer prior experience in handling STP plant, wastewater treatment plant (WWTP), Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) sites, coordinating with clients, vendors and VEC internal team. Comfort in using online tools such as whatsapp, Google sheets, gmail, etc.
Growth Opportunity: High performing candidates will be eligible for supervisor positions in future.
Activities:
- Operation of all electromech items such as Pumps, Valves and Electrical Panels
- Ensuring the Distributors are free of blockages
- Cleaning areas of Bio Mounds that are water logging by removing the top sludge accumulated
- Daily muster attendance for records and salary payments
- Weekly gardening activities to keep the plant looking beautiful
- Weekly 4 bottle pics and plant pics to be sent to project site whatsapp group
- Submission of water for testing as per contract
- Keeping the plant ready for any type of inspection activity initiated by VEC or AAI
- Taking broken down equipment such as pumps for repairs to shop.
- Ensuring appropriate site rules and welfare facilities are in place.
- Carrying out regular inspections.
- Helping project managers to plan the work programme.
- Helping co-ordinate deliveries of materials, plant and equipment.
- Completing records for site reports.
- Attending site management meetings.
- Carrying out regular inspections to ensure compliance with relevant legal requirements, processes and procedures.
- Raising safety concerns at the appropriate level.
- Resolving problems and implementing improvements.
