Job Description
Hiring: Factory Manager
Mahalaxmi Button Industries, SIDCO Kuruchi, Coimbatore
We are a growing polyester button manufacturing unit. We are looking for a hands-on Factory Manager who can run daily production and also handle basic accounts in Tally.
Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise daily production across casting, punching, curing, turning/drilling, polishing and packing
- Manage a team of 20+ workers: attendance, shift allocation, discipline and training
- Maintain production targets, quality checks and rejection control
- Monitor raw material stock (resin, chemicals, packing material) and raise purchase requirements on time
- Coordinate machine maintenance and minimise downtime
- Follow and improve factory SOPs, housekeeping and safety practices
- Prepare daily and weekly production and dispatch reports for the owner
- Handle basic accounting in Tally: purchase and sales entries, GST invoicing, payment and receipt vouchers, stock entries, and ledger and party reconciliation
- Coordinate with the CA/auditor for GST returns and month-end closing
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of experience in manufacturing, preferably plastics, buttons, textile accessories or a similar process industry
- Working knowledge of Tally (Prime/ERP 9) and GST
- Good people management skills and the ability to get work done on the floor
- Fluent Tamil, with working Hindi or English preferred
- Strong ownership, honesty and discipline
- Graduate or diploma in Mechanical, Chemical, Plastics or Commerce; B.Com with strong factory exposure also welcome
