Job Description
A General Sales Manager (GSM) leads and oversees an organization’s entire sales department, driving revenue growth, managing sales teams, and establishing strategic targets. [1, 2]
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Forecasting: Develop quarterly and annual sales forecasts, set revenue quotas, and design market expansion plans. [1, 2]
- Team Leadership & Coaching: Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate sales representatives and managers to maximize performance. [1, 2]
- Performance & Data Analysis: Track key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze sales data, audit pricing/margins, and manage CRM systems. [1, 2]
- Key Account Management: Build relationships with major clients, strategic partners, and stakeholders. [1, 2]
