Mechanical CAD Designer

Job Description:

To meet production requirements, create detailed 2D and 3D designs and drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Autodesk Inventor

Position Summary:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented CAD Designer cum Production Engineer to join our Engineering department. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical design skills, experience in drafting, and a deep understanding of product development and engineering processes. This role requires proficiency in creating 2D and 3D designs and drawings, with a focus on sheet metal fabrications and mechanical/electronic products; preferably experienced candidates in Autodesk Inventor.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and Drafting:

• To meet production requirements, create detailed 2D and 3D designs and drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Autodesk Inventor.
• Ensure all designs are accurate, clear, and align with industry standards and company specifications.

2. Mechanical Design Expertise:

• Apply strong knowledge of mechanical design basics and practices, particularly in sheet metal fabrications.
• Collaborate with the clients/engineering team to develop concepts, finalize designs, and produce prototypes

3. Product Development & Engineering Process:

• Engage in the complete product development lifecycle, including concept, design freeze, sample making, and validation tasks for mechanical/electronic products.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product designs are manufacturable and meet quality standards.

4. Project Management:

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines.
• Coordinate with production teams to support the manufacturing process and resolve any design-related issues.

5. Quality Assurance:

• Conduct thorough reviews of designs and drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with technical specifications.
• Participate in the validation and testing of prototypes to verify design integrity and performance.
