Admission Counsellor

About the RoleWe are looking for a confident, articulate and student-focused Admission Counsellor to guide students from Classes 6th to 12th and their parents regarding academic programs, foundation courses, competitive-exam preparation and future career pathways.

The counsellor will be responsible for understanding the student's academic requirements, explaining suitable programs, conducting counselling sessions, following up with parents/students and supporting the complete admission process.

• Key ResponsibilitiesCounsel students of Classes 6–12 and their parents regarding suitable academic and foundation programs.
• Understand the student's academic performance, interests, goals and learning requirements.
• Explain course structure, curriculum, schedules, fee structure, assessments and available facilities.
• Guide students regarding subject choices, foundation preparation and future competitive examinations where appropriate.
• Conduct one-to-one counselling sessions with students and parents.
• Handle admission enquiries through phone calls, WhatsApp, walk-ins and online enquiries.
• Follow up with prospective students and parents and maintain regular communication.
• Convert genuine enquiries into confirmed admissions while providing accurate information.
• Maintain records of leads, counselling sessions, follow-ups, applications and admissions.
• Coordinate with the academic team regarding student requirements and batch allocation.
• Organize and participate in parent meetings, counselling sessions, seminars, school outreach programs and admission events.
• Maintain a professional and positive relationship with students and parents.
• Meet assigned admission and enrolment targets while maintaining ethical counselling practices.
• Provide regular reports on enquiries, follow-ups, conversions and admissions to management.

Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate should have:

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• Excellent Hindi and English communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and counselling abilities.
• Confidence in communicating with both students and parents.
• Good presentation and convincing skills.
• Ability to understand students' academic needs and recommend appropriate programs.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office, Google Sheets/Excel and WhatsApp communication.
• Positive attitude and professional personality.
• Ability to work with admission targets and deadlines.

Previous experience in school admissions, education counselling, coaching institutes, ed-tech, tele-counselling or student counselling will be an advantage. Similar admissions roles commonly involve enquiry handling, parent/student counselling, follow-up, record maintenance and admission conversion.
