Job Description
- Handle day-to-day maintenance of production machines, electrical systems, and plant equipment.
- Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Ensure minimum machine downtime and quick resolution of breakdowns.
- Maintain and monitor electrical panels, motors, compressors, pumps, DG, wiring, and other utilities.
- Coordinate with production and other departments regarding maintenance requirements.
- Supervise maintenance technicians, electricians, and helpers.
- Maintain records of breakdowns, preventive maintenance, spare parts, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare and follow preventive maintenance schedules.
- Identify recurring machine problems and take corrective action.
- Ensure availability and proper stock of critical maintenance spares.
- Coordinate with external vendors/service providers for specialized repair and maintenance work.
- Ensure compliance with electrical and workplace safety procedures.
- Monitor energy consumption and identify opportunities to reduce maintenance and utility costs.
- Support installation, commissioning, and shifting of new machines/equipment.
- Report major breakdowns and maintenance issues to management.
