Showroom Sales Representative

Job OverviewA Retail Sales Representative is responsible for engaging with customers, providing product information, driving sales, and ensuring excellent customer service in a retail environment. This role involves promoting products, assisting customers with purchases, and contributing to store sales targets.

Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Engagement:

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner upon entry to the store
• Engage with customers to understand their needs and preferences
• Provide accurate information about product features, pricing, and availability
• Make personalized product recommendations based on customer requirements
• Process customer transactions efficiently at the checkout counter
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly

Sales & Product Knowledge:

• Actively promote products and services to meet sales targets
• Demonstrate product features and benefits effectively
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, promotions, and store policies
• Upsell and cross-sell products to increase purchase value
• Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately
• Meet or exceed individual and store sales targets

Store Operations:

• Maintain store presentation and visual merchandising standards
• Stock shelves and ensure proper product display
• Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment
• Ensure pricing and promotional materials are displayed correctly
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment
• Follow all security and safety procedures

Qualifications & RequirementsEducation & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (preferred)
• 1-2 years of experience in retail sales or customer service (entry-level positions available for freshers)
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets (preferred)

Skills & Competencies:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong customer service orientation and sales ability
• Basic math skills for processing transactions
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems
• Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, Excel)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
