Video Editor

We are launching a podcast channel and looking for a creative, organised Video Editor & Social Media Manager who can turn raw recordings into polished podcast episodes, engaging shorts, and promotional content. The person will also manage uploads and day-to-day activity across our social media channels.

Key ResponsibilitiesPodcast Video Editing

• Edit raw podcast recordings into complete, engaging episodes.
• Handle multi-camera footage, synchronise audio, remove unnecessary pauses, and improve the overall flow.
• Clean up audio, balance sound, correct colours, and add suitable background music where required.
• Add intros, outros, titles, speaker names, subtitles, graphics, and branding.
• Check every video for quality and accuracy before publishing.

Shorts, Reels & Promotional Content

• Identify interesting moments from podcast episodes and turn them into YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and other short videos.
• Create strong opening hooks, readable captions, and engaging edits.
• Design thumbnails, episode covers, and promotional posts.
• Adapt videos to the correct dimensions and formats for each platform.

Social Media Management

• Manage the channel’s YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and other agreed social media accounts.
• Upload and schedule episodes, shorts, reels, and posts according to the content calendar.
• Write titles, descriptions, captions, hashtags, and YouTube chapters.
• Organise playlists and maintain consistent branding across platforms.
• Monitor comments and messages, respond as agreed, and flag important queries.
• Track views, watch time, audience retention, engagement, and follower growth; prepare a brief weekly report.
• Suggest content ideas and improvements based on audience feedback and performance.
