Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Tax Accountant with at least two years of professional experience in tax preparation, compliance, and financial reporting. In this role, you will manage end-to-end tax filings, maintain accurate financial records, and assist with tax audits and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file direct and indirect tax returns (Income Tax, GST/Sales Tax, TDS, and other statutory compliances) accurately and within deadlines.
• Perform periodic bank, ledger, and tax account reconciliations.
• Review financial statements, trial balances, and supporting documentation to ensure tax compliance.
• Assist in tax audit preparations, scrutiny notices, and responses to regulatory queries.
• Maintain organized digital and physical tax workpapers and audit trails.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors to streamline financial reporting.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in tax accounting, compliance, and return filing.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce (B.Com/M.Com), or semi-qualified (CA Inter / CMA Inter / Enrolled Agent).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or ERP systems) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
• Strong working knowledge of current direct and indirect tax laws, statutory deadlines, and filing portals.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with high attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience in a CA firm, CPA firm, or corporate accounting department.
• Familiarity with statutory tax filing software and government tax portals.
