CCTV Technician – Job DescriptionJob SummaryWe are looking for a skilled CCTV Technician responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CCTV surveillance systems at customer sites. The candidate should have hands-on technical knowledge and be comfortable handling field installation and service work.
- Key ResponsibilitiesInstall and configure CCTV cameras and surveillance systems.
- Install and configure DVR/NVR systems and storage devices.
- Perform camera wiring, cabling, connectors, and power connections.
- Configure CCTV systems for monitor/TV and mobile remote viewing.
- Troubleshoot camera, DVR/NVR, power supply, cabling, and connectivity issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance and regular servicing of CCTV systems.
- Identify and repair issues such as camera failure, no display, poor video quality, recording problems, and connectivity issues.
- Configure basic IP cameras, networking, routers, and switches where required.
- Replace faulty cameras, cables, connectors, adapters, and other components.
- Test all cameras and recording systems after installation or repair.
- Visit customer sites for installation, inspection, servicing, and troubleshooting.
- Explain basic system operation to customers after installation.
- Maintain service reports and update the status of completed work.
- Follow safety procedures while working with electrical connections and equipment.
