IOT Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced IoT Engineer who can fetch real-time data from PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), process the data, and send it to cloud platforms through APIs. The candidate should have practical experience in industrial automation, PLC communication protocols, API integration, and IoT-based cloud connectivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Fetch real-time industrial data from PLCs.
• Establish communication between PLCs and IoT systems.
• Work with communication protocols such as Modbus TCP/RTU, OPC UA, and MQTT.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs to send PLC data to cloud platforms.
• Process, validate, and format data before transmitting it to the cloud.
• Troubleshoot PLC connectivity, API integration, and data transmission issues.
• Monitor data flow and ensure reliable, secure communication.
• Collaborate with automation and software teams for IoT project implementation.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with PLC data acquisition and integration.
• Knowledge of Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Delta, or similar PLCs.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and HTTP/HTTPS.
• Knowledge of MQTT, Modbus, OPC UA, and industrial communication protocols.
• Programming knowledge in Python, C++, or JavaScript.
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS IoT, Azure IoT, or similar.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Qualification

• Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Embedded Systems, or a related field.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with practical experience in fetching data from PLCs and pushing it to cloud platforms using APIs will be preferred.
