Job Description

MIG/MAG WELDER–FITTER

  • Perform MIG/MAG welding and fabrication of heavy machinery components and attachments.
  • Carry out accurate fit-up, alignment, tack welding and final welding.
  • Read basic fabrication drawings and follow dimensions/weld specifications.
  • Operate welding machines, grinders and fabrication tools safely.
  • Ensure proper weld quality, strength, finish and dimensional accuracy.
  • Identify and rectify common welding defects.
  • Follow production schedules, quality standards and safety procedures.
  • Experience in excavator buckets/attachments and heavy fabrication will be preferred.
