Job Location: Delhi NCR/ Gurgaon/Faridabad etc.

Reporting To: QA/QC Manager / Project Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Control Engineer with practical experience in civil construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction activities, materials and workmanship comply with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable IS codes and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct quality inspections of civil construction activities at the project site.

- Inspect reinforcement steel, formwork, concrete, masonry, plastering and other activities relevant to the project.

- Perform and coordinate concrete slump tests, cube sampling and other material tests as required.

- Verify construction work against approved drawings, specifications and method statements.

- Prepare and maintain inspection checklists, material inspection reports, work inspection requests and quality records.

- Identify quality deviations, raise non-conformance reports (NCRs) and follow up on corrective actions.

- Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, consultants, laboratories and project teams.

- Ensure proper material testing, traceability and maintenance of quality documentation.

- Monitor rework, recurring defects and compliance with project quality requirements.

- Support quality audits and ensure adherence to applicable IS codes, project specifications and safety procedures.

Required Skills:

- Practical experience in civil construction QA/QC.

- Knowledge of concrete testing, reinforcement inspection and construction materials.

- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and technical specifications.

- Familiarity with ITPs, method statements, inspection checklists and NCRs.

- Knowledge of relevant IS codes and construction quality standards.

- Proficiency in MS Excel and quality documentation.

- Strong observation, problem-solving and coordination skills.

Preferred Experience:

- Experience in residential, commercial, high-rise or infrastructure projects, as applicable.

- Hands-on experience with site inspections and material testing.

- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality audit procedures.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

- Compliance with project quality standards.

- Accuracy and timely completion of inspections.

- Reduction in construction defects and rework.

- Timely closure of NCRs and corrective actions.

- Completeness of quality documentation.

- Compliance with approved drawings and specifications.

Candidate Requirements:

- Must have relevant civil construction QA/QC experience.

- Must be willing to work at the assigned project site.

- Must be able to coordinate with site teams and maintain inspection records.

- Candidates with only manufacturing quality-control experience and no relevant civil construction exposure may not be suitable.
