Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Chef to join our culinary team. The Chef will be responsible for preparing high-quality food, maintaining kitchen standards, ensuring food safety and hygiene, and supporting smooth day-to-day kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook food according to established recipes and quality standards.

Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, portion size, and quality.

Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety.

Monitor food preparation and ensure timely service during operations.

Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before use.

Maintain proper food storage and follow FIFO practices.

Minimize food wastage and control food costs.

Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas.

Coordinate with the Sous Chef, Executive Chef, and other kitchen team members.

Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and new dish trials when required.

Ensure proper mise en place before service.

Follow company policies, SOPs, and food safety regulations.

Support and guide junior kitchen team members.

Maintain proper stock levels and communicate shortages to the concerned person.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Relevant culinary qualification or equivalent experience.

Previous experience as a Chef in a hotel, restaurant, café, or similar establishment.

Good knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.

Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Good teamwork and communication skills.

Ability to maintain consistency and attention to detail.

Preferred Experience:

2–5 years of relevant experience, depending on the level of the position.
