Data Analyst Intern

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst Intern to join our data and analytics team. In this role, you will assist in collecting, cleaning, and transforming raw datasets into actionable business insights. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build clear visualizations, support reporting workflows, and help drive data-informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Collection & Cleaning: Assist in gathering, organizing, and cleaning large datasets from various internal databases, spreadsheets, and external sources. Handle missing values, duplicates, and data formatting inconsistencies.
• Data Analysis: Support the team in analyzing structured and unstructured data to spot trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Visualization & Reporting: Build and update interactive dashboards, charts, and periodic reports using tools like Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Collaboration: Partner with marketing, product, or operations teams to understand their data requirements and translate them into simple metrics.
• Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of data sources, metrics definitions, and analytical processes.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data cleaning).
• Working knowledge of SQL for writing basic to intermediate queries.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Basic knowledge of Python or R for data manipulation is a plus.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Good verbal and written communication skills to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Eagerness to learn, take feedback, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
