Electrical Site Engineer

Role Overview:The Electrical Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing, executing, and managing all electrical works at the project site. The role involves coordinating with contractors, consultants, and project teams to ensure smooth execution of electrical installations, testing, commissioning, and maintenance as per project specifications, safety standards, and timelines.

• Key Responsibilities:Supervise, monitor, and execute all site electrical works in compliance with drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Plan and allocate work to electricians, technicians, and subcontractors.
• Ensure proper installation of electrical systems such as HT/LT panels, cabling, lighting, earthing, fire alarm systems, and power distribution.
• Review electrical drawings, technical specifications, and ensure implementation without deviations.
• Coordinate with civil and mechanical teams for seamless execution of MEP works.
• Conduct inspection, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Prepare site progress reports, material consumption records, and update the Project Manager.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes (IEC/IS standards).
• Liaise with consultants, clients, and contractors for approvals and inspections.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical/site issues to avoid delays.
• Ensure timely availability of materials and maintain proper inventory.
• Qualifications & Skills:Bachelor’s / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of site experience (for junior engineers) / 5–10 years (for senior engineers).
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, layouts, and installation practices.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and MS Office tools.
• Good understanding of project management, quality standards, and safety practices.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Work Environment:Based at construction/project sites.
• Requires coordination with multiple teams and long working hours as per project needs.
