Job Description
Purchase & Procurement
- Handle day-to-day purchase activities for raw materials, components, packaging, consumables, tools and other company requirements.
- Source materials from existing and new vendors as per requirements.
- Identify and develop new suppliers and maintain good vendor relationships.
- Obtain quotations and prepare quotation comparison statements.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery timelines with vendors.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders after obtaining necessary approvals.
- Ensure POs contain clear specifications, quantities, prices, delivery timelines and other relevant requirements.
Vendor Follow-up
- Regularly follow up with vendors for order confirmation, production status, dispatch and delivery.
- Track pending POs and ensure timely closure.
- Coordinate with vendors for shortages, quality issues, delays and replacement of materials.
- Maintain a proper vendor follow-up and pending order tracker.
