Restaurant Manager

Job description:

We are looking for a hands-on Café Operations Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day running of our café and retail space. The role requires someone who can manage people, maintain operational discipline, improve service standards, and ensure the café runs smoothly without constant owner involvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily café operations across kitchen, bar, service, and retail
• Supervise staff attendance, punctuality, grooming, rosters, and shift discipline
• Coordinate between kitchen, bar, floor, and retail teams
• Handle staff issues professionally and escalate serious concerns to ownership
• Ensure opening and closing procedures are followed correctly
• Maintain customer service, cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards
• Monitor daily sales, cash/POS reports, and operational performance
• Track inventory, stock movement, wastage, and ordering requirements
• Coordinate with vendors and ensure timely procurement
• Monitor Zomato and Swiggy operations and resolve order/service issues
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management
• Ensure SOPs are followed consistently across departments
• Handle customer complaints and service recovery
• Support events, collaborations, and special café activities
• Send concise daily/weekly operational updates to ownership
• Identify recurring operational problems and implement practical solutions

Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience in café, restaurant, hospitality, or F&B operations
• Previous experience as an Outlet Manager, Restaurant Manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager, or Café Manager preferred
• Strong people-management and conflict-resolution skills
• Ability to independently manage staff and daily operations
• Good understanding of inventory, cost control, wastage, and stock management
• Comfortable using POS systems, Excel/Google Sheets, and basic reporting
• Experience with PetPooja is an advantage
• Familiarity with Zomato and Swiggy operations preferred
• Good communication and customer-handling skills
• Responsible, organised, proactive, and willing to be hands-on during service
• Flexible to work weekends and public holidays
