TIG Welding Operator

Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled SS304 TIG Fabrication & Welding Operator with hands-on experience in TIG welding of stainless-steel thin sheets, tubes and fabricated components. The candidate will be responsible for fabrication, fitting and TIG welding while maintaining neat, clean, strong and dimensionally accurate joints as per engineering drawings and quality standards.

• Key ResponsibilitiesPerform TIG welding on SS304 stainless-steel components, including thin sheets, tubes and fabricated parts.
• Carry out precision TIG welding to achieve clean, uniform and visually acceptable weld joints.
• Perform cutting, fitting, alignment, tack welding and final TIG welding operations.
• Weld thin-gauge SS304 sheets and tubes while controlling heat input to minimize distortion and warping.
• Read and understand engineering/fabrication drawings, dimensions and specifications.
• Ensure proper fit-up, alignment and dimensional accuracy before and after welding.
• Perform weld grinding and finishing wherever required.
• Ensure smooth and neat weld-seam finishing suitable for subsequent polishing/finishing operations.
• Identify and rectify welding defects such as porosity, cracks, undercut, burn-through, excessive weld and uneven joints.
• Select appropriate TIG welding parameters, tungsten, filler rod and shielding gas according to material thickness and job requirements.
• Handle SS304 sheets and tubes carefully to prevent scratches, dents and surface damage.
