As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. The role requires working with modern development frameworks and following agile methodologies to ensure the delivery of scalable and efficient software that meets unique business requirements. Collaboration with different teams and continuous enhancement of software components are integral parts of the daily workflow, ensuring that solutions remain robust and adaptable to evolving needs.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to identify and implement process improvements that enhance team productivity and software quality.
- Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and skill development.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Java Full Stack Development.
- Strong knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.
- Experience with back-end development using Java and related frameworks.
- Familiarity with database design and management, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
- Strong backend development experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
- Good understanding of distributed systems, APIs, service integration, and scalable application design.
- Working knowledge of React/UI technologies is nice to have, primarily to understand the end-to-end application and system architecture.
Strong M-shaped skill set, with depth in backend engineering and the ability to work across adjacent areas such as UI, cloud, AI, and system integration.
- Good understanding of cloud technologies and cloud-native application architectures.
- Strong awareness of the Agentic AI era and hands-on ability to leverage AI, AI agents, agent frameworks/harnesses, and emerging AI techniques to solve engineering and business problems.
- Ability to design and build systems using AI agents, integrating agentic capabilities into existing applications and workflows.
- Experience with agent harnesses, including the ability to leverage existing agent harnesses and build custom agent harnesses where required.
- Ability to work as a Forward Deployment Engineer, collaborating closely with customers, product teams, and engineering teams to understand problems and rapidly develop solutions.
- Strong ability to prototype, build, integrate, and deploy solutions in real-world application environments.
- Should be able to leverage existing platforms, frameworks, AI capabilities, and reusable components to accelerate solution development and delivery.
- Ability to create reusable components, frameworks, tools, and engineering assets* that can be leveraged across multiple applications and engagements.
- Strong problem-solving and system-design skills, with the ability to work across technology stacks and domains.
- Should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving technology environment, particularly around GenAI, Agentic AI, and cloud-native engineering.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with technical and business stakeholders.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Java Full Stack Development.
- This position is based at our Gurugram office.
