Planning Engineer

Job Title: Planning Engineer –

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar planning software.

• Prepare baseline schedules, detailed work programmes, and project execution plans.

• Monitor actual project progress against the approved schedule and identify delays or deviations.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for management and clients.

• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, subcontractors, and other project teams.

• Track project milestones, critical activities, resources, and deliverables.

• Perform schedule analysis and identify the critical path and potential delays.

• Assist in preparing recovery schedules and mitigation plans for delayed activities.

• Collect and verify progress data from site teams and maintain accurate records.

• Prepare progress measurement, manpower/resource histograms, S-curves, and other planning reports.

• Support preparation of Extension of Time (EOT), delay analysis, and claims-related documentation where required.

• Attend project planning and coordination meetings and provide schedule updates.

• Ensure planning activities are aligned with project scope, budget, quality, and safety requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's/Diploma degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.

• [2–5] years of experience in project planning, preferably in construction, EPC, infrastructure, or industrial projects.

• Good working knowledge of Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.

• Strong understanding of project scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting.

• Knowledge of critical path method (CPM), WBS, S-curves, resource planning, and schedule updates.

• Ability to analyze project data and identify delays, risks, and schedule deviations.

• Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.

• Strong communication, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

• Willingness to work at project/site locations as required.
