About us

Sree Lakshmi Kalamkari Works makes traditional hand-block printed and hand-painted Kalamkari textiles. We sell wholesale and retail, and we are growing on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and B2B portals such as IndiaMART and TradeIndia.

Job Purpose

The Sales Support Executive is the first point of contact for every customer who walks into our wholesale store. The role is to welcome customers, understand what they are looking for, guide them through our range of kalamkari sarees, cotton kurtis and fabrics, and convert their visit into a confirmed sale, while building long-term relationships with wholesale buyers.

Job Roles and Responsibilities

Customer Handling

• Greet and attend to every walk-in customer promptly and courteously.
• Ask the right questions to understand the customer's needs: type of product, quantity, budget, target market (retail shop, boutique, reseller, event), and timelines.
• Identify whether the customer is a new or repeat buyer and handle accordingly.

Product Guidance and Lead Conversion

• Show suitable products from the collection and explain fabric, print, colour, sizes, pricing slabs and minimum order quantities.
• Suggest combinations, bestsellers and new arrivals to increase order value.
• Handle objections on price, quality and delivery with clear, honest answers.
• Negotiate within the pricing limits set by management and escalate larger or special-rate deals to the Store / Sales Manager.
• Close the sale, confirm the order and coordinate billing, packing and dispatch.

Lead Follow-up and Relationship Building

• Record the details of every enquiry (name, contact, requirement, products shown, outcome) in the lead register or CRM.
• Follow up with customers who did not buy on the day, through call or WhatsApp, to convert them into orders.
• Keep in touch with existing customers about new collections, offers and restocks to drive repeat orders.

Store and Stock Support

• Keep the display, shelves and sample sets neat, updated and well stocked.
• Know current stock availability and inform customers accurately; report low stock and fast-moving items to the manager.
• Pass on customer feedback, demand trends and requests for new designs to the management.
• Support the billing and dispatch team to ensure orders are accurate and delivered on time.
• ReportingMaintain daily records of footfall, enquiries, conversions and sales.
• Share a daily / weekly sales summary with the Store / Sales Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

Graduate or Higher Secondary pass with relevant sales experience (a degree is preferred but not mandatory).

1 to 3 years of experience in retail or wholesale sales, preferably in textiles, sarees, apparel or fabrics. Freshers with strong communication and a sales aptitude may also apply.
