Cashier

Looking for the candidates who already have experience as cashier in a saree clothing store manages customer billing, processes payments, handles returns, and balances the cash drawer at the end of the shift.

• Scans and Bills Items: Uses barcode scanners or manually enters SKU codes for sarees, blouses, and ethnic wear into the Point of Sale (POS) system.

• Collects Payments: Accepts money via cash, credit/debit cards, UPI apps (such as Google Pay, PhonePe, or Paytm), and store gift cards.

• Applies Discounts and Offers: Subtracts festival discounts, seasonal sales, promotional coupons, or loyalty points from the final bill.

• Issues Invoices and Receipts: Prints and hands over tax invoices (including GST calculation) and bag tags so customers can exit the store.

Cash and Drawer Management

• Maintains Float: Counts the cash drawer at the start of the shift to ensure correct starting change (float).

• Reconciles Till: Balances total cash, card slips, and digital UPI receipts at the end of the day to match the POS sales report with zero discrepancies.

• Prepares Deposits: Hands over daily cash collections safely to the store manager or accountant.

Returns, Exchanges, and Customer Service

• Handles Returns and Exchanges: Inspects returned sarees (checking tags, fold marks, or damage) and processes store credit or exchanges according to store policy.

• Acts as the Last Touchpoint: Greets customers warmly as they leave, answers quick questions about return windows or loyalty programs, and keeps the checkout desk clean and organized.

• Coordinates with Floor Staff: Communicates with saree sales executives on the floor to verify unpriced items, stock availability, or custom blouse stitching charges.
