Job Description
We are looking for a Commis Chef to join our Central Kitchen team. The candidate will assist in bulk food preparation and production while maintaining quality, hygiene, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare food as per standard recipes and SOPs.
- Assist in bulk preparation of gravies, sauces, rice, proteins and other food items.
- Follow portioning, weighing and production instructions.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
- Handle kitchen equipment safely.
- Follow food safety and storage procedures.
- Assist in packing and labelling prepared food products.
- Maintain proper kitchen discipline and minimise food wastage.
- Support the Chef/Supervisor in daily production activities.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of Indian/Chinese/Continental food preparation.
- Minimum 1 Year Experience
- Experience in a commercial or bulk kitchen is an advantage.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Good hygiene and discipline.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
