We are looking for an experienced Factory Supervisor to manage day-to-day factory operations, production coordination, manpower, maintenance and overall factory-floor activities.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Factory Supervisor to oversee day-to-day factory operations and ensure smooth coordination between production, manpower, materials, maintenance and dispatch.

The ideal candidate should be hands-on, responsible and capable of independently managing the factory floor and resolving day-to-day operational issues.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operations

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day factory production activities.
• Plan and allocate work according to production requirements and schedules.
• Monitor production targets, output, quality and timelines.
• Ensure smooth workflow and minimize production delays and downtime.
• Identify operational issues and take timely corrective action.
• Coordinate with management regarding production status and requirements.

Manpower Management

• Allocate workers/operators to different production activities.
• Monitor attendance, punctuality, productivity and work discipline.
• Manage manpower requirements, shifts and overtime.
• Guide, train and supervise workers on proper work procedures.
• Handle routine workforce-related issues and maintain discipline on the shop floor.

Machine & Maintenance Coordination

• Ensure machinery and equipment are available and operational for production.
• Coordinate routine, preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Identify equipment-related issues and coordinate with maintenance personnel/technicians.
• Track breakdowns and minimize production downtime.

Materials & Inventory Coordination

• Monitor availability of raw materials, components and production consumables.
• Coordinate with stores/purchase regarding material requirements.
• Monitor material usage and minimize unnecessary wastage.
• Ensure proper handling, storage and movement of materials within the factory.

Quality & Process Control

• Ensure production is carried out according to required quality standards.
• Monitor defects, rework and wastage.
• Identify recurring production/quality issues and take corrective action.
• Ensure workers follow established production processes.

Factory & Facility Management

• Oversee general upkeep and smooth functioning of the factory premises.
• Coordinate housekeeping, utilities and basic facility-related requirements.
• Coordinate with external technicians, service providers and vendors when required.
• Ensure the factory floor remains organized, clean and operational.

Safety

• Ensure workers follow factory safety procedures.
• Monitor safe working practices on the shop floor.
• Ensure appropriate use of safety equipment/PPE.
• Report and escalate accidents, hazards or unsafe conditions.

Dispatch & Coordination

• Coordinate with stores and logistics for timely movement of finished goods.
• Ensure production is completed as per dispatch requirements.
• Coordinate packing, loading and dispatch activities when required.

Reports & Documentation

• Maintain daily production and manpower reports.
• Maintain records of material usage, wastage and production output.
• Track machine breakdowns and maintenance activities.
• Provide regular updates to management regarding production and operational issues.

Candidate Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience as a Factory Supervisor / Production Supervisor / Manufacturing Supervisor.
• Experience managing factory/shop-floor manpower is essential.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong production coordination and people-management skills.
• Ability to independently manage day-to-day factory operations.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel, WhatsApp and email.
• Good communication skills.
• Should be disciplined, responsible and hands-on.
• Ability to coordinate with workers, management, vendors and service personnel.
• Willingness to take ownership of factory operations and work on the shop floor.
• PreferredExperience handling a mixed manufacturing environment.
• Experience with machinery, production processes and maintenance coordination.
• Experience managing a team of blue-collar workers.
• Candidates who have previously handled end-to-end factory floor operations will be preferred.

The right candidate should be able to ensure that manpower, production, materials, machinery, quality, maintenance and dispatch are coordinated smoothly every day.
