Logistics And Warehouse Manager

Position: Logistics & Warehouse Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage overall warehouse, transportation and logistics operations across locations.

2. Coordinate loading, unloading, dispatches, stock reconciliation and warehouse requirements.

3. Arrange vehicles for dispatches and ensure minimum turnaround time for loading/unloading.

4. Build and maintain a network of 15–20 local transporters per warehouse.

5. Develop and independently manage the Hyderabad local transport network.

6. Manage company-owned vehicles, daily trips, vehicle tracking and trip planning.

7. Ensure timely vehicle repair, maintenance and statutory compliance including FASTag, Road Tax, Fitness, Insurance and PUC.

8. Optimize vehicle utilization, routes and transportation costs.

9. Identify, negotiate and manage local transport vendors.

10. Manage primary transportation from ports to warehouses/customer locations.

11. Ensure timely dispatch of exhibition and other priority materials.

12. Monitor physical stock verification and resolve stock discrepancies.

13. Handle transit-damage insurance claims and ensure timely follow-up and settlement.

14. Prepare weekly truck-wise P&L and mileage reports.

15. Maintain logistics records, MIS and updates in the logistics application.

16. Coordinate with Sales, Purchase and Warehouse teams for smooth logistics operations.

17. Manage logistics operations as an independent cost center, focusing on cost control and profitability.

18. Travel to warehouses for stock differences, operational issues or emergencies.

Qualification:

Graduate in any discipline.

Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation or Warehouse Management will be an advantage.

Experience

5–8 years of experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse or fleet management.

Experience handling company-owned vehicles and third-party transporters preferred.

Experience in vendor negotiation, fleet compliance and transportation cost control.
