Insurance Agent/Advisor

Role Summary

We are looking for an ambitious, client-focused Insurance Advisor specializing in Life and Health Insurance to join our growing financial solutions team. In this role, you will assess client protection and savings needs, recommend tailored insurance products, and build long-term advisory relationships. You will guide clients through product evaluation, policy issuance, renewals, and claim assistance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Generation & Prospecting: Source new clients through networking, referrals, direct outreach, and inbound inquiries to maintain a strong sales pipeline.
• Needs Assessment & Advisory: Conduct comprehensive financial and protection assessments to recommend suitable term life, savings/endowment, critical illness, and comprehensive health insurance policies.
• Sales & Conversions: Present product benefits, policy features, riders, and premium terms clearly to prospects, addressing objections and closing sales.
• Documentation & Compliance: Ensure prompt and accurate collection of KYC details, medical history disclosures, proposal forms, and compliance with IRDAI guidelines.
• Portfolio & Renewal Management: Track renewals, maintain high policy persistency, and cross-sell relevant financial protection products to existing policyholders.
• Claims Support: Act as the primary point of contact during claims processing, assisting clients and their families with hospital cashless coordination or document submission.
• Pipeline Tracking: Update lead statuses, call logs, and customer interactions systematically in the internal CRM.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Commerce, Business, Finance, or related field preferred).
• Experience: 0–3 years of proven experience in life insurance, health insurance, agency sales, or direct bancassurance sales. Freshers with strong communication skills and an aptitude for financial sales are welcome to apply.
• Certifications: Valid IRDAI IC-38 certification (Life / General / Health) is a strong advantage.
• Skills:
• Strong negotiation, active listening, and relationship-building capabilities.
• In-depth understanding of insurance terminology (co-pay, waiting periods, room rent capping, riders, sum insured).
• Fluency in Hindi; functional proficiency in English.
• Familiarity with sales CRMs and basic reporting tools (MS Excel).
