Fashion Design & Apparel Production Intern

About the Role

Ashanari Pvt Ltd is looking for a Fashion Design Intern who wants hands-on experience in apparel manufacturing, product development, sampling, and production coordination.

This is not a purely creative or styling internship. You will work closely with our directors, production team, tailors, master manufacturers, and vendors to help convert fashion designs and buyer requirements into finished garments.

• Key ResponsibilitiesUnderstand and interpret tech packs, measurements, construction details, and buyer requirements
• Assist with fabric sourcing, fabric selection, and quality checking
• Support pattern making, sampling, fitting, and corrections
• Coordinate with tailors, master manufacturers, artisans, and vendors
• Follow up on samples, production tasks, materials, and timelines
• Identify production issues and coordinate with the relevant team to resolve them
• Maintain production-related records and follow-ups
• Assist the directors with daily operational and coordination activities
• Help ensure that buyer requirements are accurately communicated to the production team
• Who We Are Looking ForFashion Design student, graduate, or candidate with relevant practical experience
• Good understanding of garment construction, fabrics, measurements, and tech packs
• Basic knowledge of pattern making and sampling
• Strong communication and follow-up skills
• Organised and comfortable managing multiple tasks
• Willing to work hands-on inside a manufacturing environment
• Responsible, detail-oriented, and eager to learn

ImportantThis role involves execution and coordination, not only designing.

The intern will not be expected to communicate personally with buyers. Buyer requirements and communication will remain managed by the company, while the intern will help ensure those requirements are correctly understood and executed internally.
