Shift Incharge

Title: Shift Incharge Reports to: Production Manager Minimum qualification- Graduate in Relevant Field Minimum experience-5-6Years Direct reporters: Machine Operators etc. Salary range-35k-42k Job Purpose: To manage the shift and all direct staff. To ensure the smooth running of the production process. To ensure that all products are produced to the specified Specifications. Target and deadlines are met to achieve the orders. To ensure that all direct staff comply with the company’s Health and Safety procedures Key Responsibilities • To inform HR timely for daily labour requirement, Coordinate with Store for Material issue, Coordinate Purchase in case of required material, Dispatch dept., Coordinate Quality for no leakage, quality Assurance & for proper quality of products & other departments. • Coordinate with Maintenance and utilities team to ensure proper maintenance and proper functioning of utilities before starting the plant • To Make/update SOP of all Production process of PC and Takatak Line and work according to it. • To make Shift roaster of his team for both shifts. Also coordinate with other departments in order to know the availability of the executives of each department. • To make checklist/for • mat for Production Machines with proper documentations. • To understand functionality of EBS software, raise indent and follow up with purchase dept. • To take full responsibility of the shift in terms of management of Production Staff and quality targets and to ensure the smooth running of the production processes. • To take full responsibility of the quality and product that is produced within the shift in line with the company’s quality systems, processes and procedures • Manage, develop and motivate direct reporting staff • Monitor, measure and report on production related process performance, general issues • To ensure good communication is given either verbally or written to all members of staff • To ensure that Health and Safety rules and regulations are adhered to during the shift and all matters relating to this are dealt with using the resources within the company in line with the companies Health and Safety policy • Problem solving and troubling shooting skills are used to ensure that all team members can identify root causes and take fast effective action to resolve the problems in hand • To work closely with other Shift Operators to ensure production handovers are effective communications tools. • To ensure that the training skills are met for current and future demands of the shift • To have an active role in the company’s continuous improvement plan to achieve plans for future growth within the company • Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace • All employees are responsible for ensuring company resources are used in an effective manner to ensure best operating costs • Be able to make appropriate decisions while following the company’s organizational structure • Maintaining high level of timekeeping is of the essence • Ensuring cleaning of the machines on daily basis. Also do the boil out and hot wash of machines as and when required. Production Achieving Production Plan as per the schedule including the changeovers Achieving Minimalistic Breakdown during the production Achieving Proper Machine startup and shift down data. Ensuring training across the various production parameters. Ensuring Preventive maintenance of lines by operators as per boil out intervals Ensuring 5S Ensuring Production standards including packaging as per the laid down norms.
