Junior Commis

HOC Café is looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Junior Commis / Kitchen Helper to join our café kitchen.

We are looking for someone who has basic cooking or kitchen experience and is willing to learn. Freshers with a good interest in cooking are also welcome.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily kitchen preparation and cooking

• Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, sauces and other food items

• Assist in preparing café dishes like burgers, sandwiches, pasta, pizzas, salads and other continental-style dishes

• Follow recipes, portion sizes and kitchen SOPs

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen

• Help with kitchen organization and daily stock/preparation work

• Work as part of the kitchen team during busy hours

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of cooking or kitchen work

• Café/restaurant experience is an advantage

• Freshers with basic cooking knowledge can apply

• Willingness to learn our menu and cooking methods

• Hardworking, punctual and responsible

• Good hygiene and cleanliness habits

• Ability to work well in a team

Training will be provided for our menu, recipes and kitchen procedures.
