Job Description

  • Prepare and cook Indian dishes as per recipes and SOPs.
  • Handle daily mise en place and preparation.
  • Maintain consistent taste, quality, portion and presentation.
  • Make gravies
  • Supervise and guide Commis chefs working in the section.
  • Keep the section clean, organised and ready for service.
  • Check quality and freshness of ingredients.
  • Follow proper food hygiene and safety practices.
  • Maintain proper storage and FIFO of ingredients.
  • Minimise food wastage and control portion sizes.
  • Support the Head Chef during busy service.
  • Step in and help other kitchen sections when required.
  • Maintain discipline and smooth working of the section.

Requirements: Previous experience, good knowledge of Indian cooking, ability to work under pressure, and a hands-on approach.
