Accountant

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Accountant with in-depth knowledge of end-to-end accounting and taxation for our coal trading business. The ideal candidate will independently manage daily accounting operations, statutory tax compliance, inventory reconciliation, and financial reporting using Tally Prime.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Accounting: Manage complete books of accounts, daily voucher entries, sales/purchase billing, and ledger management in Tally Prime.
• Taxation & Statutory Compliance: Handle complete direct and indirect tax operations, including timely preparation and filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9/9C), TDS returns, TCS compliance, and advance tax calculations.
• Logistics & Coal Trading Operations: Generate and manage E-Way bills and E-Invoices; reconcile dispatch records, railway receipts (RR), weighbridge slips, and freight/transporter bills.
• Inventory & Party Reconciliation: Maintain accurate coal stock records, monitor shortage/wastage transit adjustments, and conduct regular vendor, customer, and bank reconciliations (BRS).
• Finalization & Audits: Prepare monthly MIS reports, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements; coordinate directly with Chartered Accountants for statutory and tax audits.

Requirements & Skills

• Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Tally Prime and MS Excel is mandatory.
• Domain Knowledge: Deep, practical knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST laws, TDS/TCS provisions, and income tax compliance.
• Industry Experience: Prior experience in coal trading, mining, logistics, or bulk commodity trading is strongly preferred.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce (B.Com / M.Com), CA Inter, or equivalent accounting qualification.
• Core Competencies: High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to handle accounts and tax assessments independently up to finalization.
