RESTAURANT CAPTAIN | PARK STREET
The Calcutta Bar, a popular bar cum restaurant in Park Street, Kolkata, is looking for an experienced and confident Restaurant Captain to join our service team.
Who We're Looking For:
We are looking for a skilled, well-groomed and guest-focused Captain who can confidently handle restaurant-floor operations and lead the service team during busy hours.
Preferred experience:
- 3–5+ years of experience in restaurants/F&B
- Previous experience as Restaurant Captain / Senior Steward / Floor Supervisor
- Strong guest-handling and communication skills
- Good knowledge of food & beverage service
- Ability to supervise and guide waiters/stewards
- Good grooming, discipline and professional attitude
- Comfortable working in a busy restaurant environment
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and professionally attend to guests
- Take and coordinate food & beverage orders
- Supervise waiters/stewards and ensure smooth service
- Coordinate effectively with the kitchen
- Handle guest requests and complaints professionally
- Maintain service, cleanliness and grooming standards
- Assist with table allocation and floor management
- Promote and upsell food & beverages when appropriate
- Ensure an excellent overall guest experience
