Senior Purchase Manager

Key Responsibilities·       Lead end-to-end purchasing of PEB components, built-up members, purlins, primary/secondary built-up steel sections, 

        roofing sheets, fasteners, insulation materials, and welding consumables.

·       Review structural drawings, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and material specifications from the engineering design team to

        ensure accurate procurement.

·       Float RFQs (Request for Quotations), analyze commercial bids, and execute cost-effective purchases without

       compromising quality.

Vendor Management & Negotiation

·       Identify, evaluate, and onboard high-quality manufacturers, steel mills, and traders to maintain a strong vendor pipeline.

·       Negotiate commercial terms, payment conditions, credit terms, and delivery schedules to achieve maximum cost savings.

·       Conduct regular vendor performance evaluations based on delivery TAT (Turnaround Time), quality compliance, and

        price stability.

Inventory Control & Coordination

·       Collaborate closely with factory planning, production, and site project managers to synchronize material deliveries with

        project timelines.

·       Monitor inventory levels at the fabrication plant to prevent both overstocking and production downtime.

·       Supervise the inbound logistics, transit tracking, and verification of Material Test Certificates (MTC) alongside the Quality

       Assurance (QA) team.

Reporting & Compliance

·       Generate daily, weekly, and monthly procurement MIS reports, order status logs, and cost-variance analyses for top

        management.

·       Ensure absolute compliance with company purchase policies, GST taxation rules, and legal documentation.

Key Skills Required·       Thorough knowledge of steel grades (e.g., E250, E350, High-Tensile steel), raw material pricing trends, and market dynamics.

·       Technical understanding of PEB systems & industrial structures

·       Strong negotiation & deal-closing ability

·       Strong proficiency in ERP software Tally prime and advanced MS Excel.

·       Excellent communication and stakeholder management

·       Exceptional negotiation and interpersonal communication skills (Fluent in Hindi, English, and Bengali).

·       High level of integrity, analytical capability, and problem-solving attitude under tight delivery deadlines.

·       Good experienced in transport and solid transporter contacts.
