Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to manage financial records, billing, and project-related accounts for our painting contracting business. The role involves handling vendor payments, site billing, material accounting, and GST compliance.

🧑‍💼 Key Responsibilities

📌 Accounts & Bookkeeping

Maintain day-to-day accounting entries (Purchase, Sales, Expenses)

Manage ledgers, cash flow, and bank reconciliation

Record all site-level financial transactions

📌 Billing & Invoicing

Prepare client invoices (RA Bills / Final Bills)

Handle billing as per work progress at site

Coordinate with project/site team for measurements and billing data

📌 Vendor & Material Payments

Manage payments to:

Material suppliers (paint, putty, tools)

Labour contractors

Track outstanding payments and due dates

📌 GST & Compliance

Prepare and file GST returns

Ensure proper tax invoices and documentation

Maintain compliance with government regulations

📌 Project Accounting

Track project-wise cost and profitability

Maintain records for:

Material consumption

Labour cost

Site expenses

Support management with financial reports

📌 Coordination

Coordinate with:

Site supervisors

Purchase team

Management

Ensure proper documentation for all transactions

🎯 Required Skills

Strong knowledge of accounting principles

Experience in Tally / Busy / Zoho Books / Excel

Understanding of GST and taxation

Good numerical and analytical skills

Attention to detail and accuracy

🚗 Preferred Background

Experience in construction / interior / painting contracting

Knowledge of RA billing and project accounting

Ability to handle multiple sites/projects

💰 Salary & Benefits

Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹25,000 (based on experience)
