Housekeeping Staff

Job Summary

We are looking for hardworking, responsible, and detail-oriented housekeeping staff for upholstery cleaning and fabric care. The candidate will be responsible for cleaning sofas, chairs, mattresses, carpets, curtains, and other upholstered furniture using appropriate cleaning chemicals, equipment, and professional cleaning techniques.

Key Responsibilities

1. Clean sofas, chairs, cushions, mattresses, carpets, and other upholstered furniture.
2. Operate upholstery cleaning machines, vacuum cleaners, wet-and-dry vacuum cleaners, and extraction machines.
3. Identify fabric types and select suitable cleaning methods and chemicals.
4. Remove dust, stains, spills, odours, and dirt using appropriate cleaning techniques.
5. Conduct spot cleaning and deep cleaning as required.
6. Follow the correct dilution instructions for cleaning chemicals and use PPE, including gloves and masks, where required.
7. Protect furniture, flooring, walls, and surrounding areas during cleaning.
8. Perform pre-cleaning inspections and check the results after cleaning.
9. Maintain cleaning equipment and report any faults or damage.
10. Follow workplace safety standards and company cleaning procedures.
11. Maintain cleanliness at the worksite and ensure proper storage of chemicals and equipment.
12. Complete assigned cleaning tasks within the scheduled time and report work completion to the supervisor.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Basic education preferred; prior cleaning experience will be an advantage.
• Experience in upholstery, sofa, carpet, or deep cleaning preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe use is desirable.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment or willingness to learn.
• Physically fit and capable of performing cleaning duties.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
• Punctual, honest, disciplined, and able to work in a team.
• Willingness to travel to client locations, if required.
