Production Planning And Control

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders and sales forecasts.
• Develop production schedules for cutting, machining, assembly, sanding, polishing, and packing operations.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
• Coordinate with the sales team for order prioritization and delivery schedules.
• Monitor production progress against planned schedules.
• Track work-in-progress (WIP) at various manufacturing stages.
• Identify production bottlenecks and initiate corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to production targets and delivery commitments.
• Prepare material requirement plans (MRP) based on production schedules.
• Coordinate with procurement for timely availability of wood, plywood, veneers, laminates, hardware, adhesives, and packaging materials.
• Monitor raw material consumption and inventory levels.
• Minimize material shortages and excess stock.
• Liaise with Stores, Purchase, Maintenance, and Quality departments.
• Coordinate with subcontractors/vendors for outsourced operations, if applicable.
• Ensure smooth flow of materials and information across departments.
• Maintain production records and planning documents.
• Generate daily production reports, pending order reports, and dispatch reports.
• Analyze production efficiency, machine utilization, and productivity.
• Present MIS reports to management.
• Coordinate with QA/QC team to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Monitor rejection, rework, and wastage levels.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce production costs.
• Support implementation of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Wood Technology, or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in Production Planning & Control, preferably in furniture, plywood, modular furniture, doors, wood products, or interior manufacturing industries.
