Job Description
Prepare and cook a variety of Continental dishes, including pasta, pizzas, sandwiches and other café-style dishes.
Ensure all food is prepared according to standard recipes, portion sizes, presentation and quality standards.
Maintain consistency in taste, flavour, portioning and plating.
Handle food preparation, cooking and plating during regular service and peak hours.
Ensure proper food hygiene, sanitation and kitchen safety standards are followed.
Monitor ingredient quality and coordinate with the kitchen/store team for daily requirements.
Control food wastage and maintain proper portion control.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation, equipment and kitchen area.
Assist in developing new Continental dishes and seasonal menu items.
Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely service.
Check stock levels and inform the senior chef about shortages or replenishment requirements.
