Role summary

Execute hands-on restoration and O&M work across the refinery's rooftop solar installations — module replacement, inverter repair, DC/AC distribution work, earthing and lightning protection, structural fixes and cable dressing — under refinery permit-to-work discipline, with full photo and checklist documentation for client submission.

Key responsibilities

Modules & strings

• Remove and replace defective modules; handle, transport and mount safely on live rooftops
• MC4 crimping and connector replacement; string continuity, Voc/Isc and IR testing with multimeter and clamp meter
• Assist thermographic (IR camera) surveys and tag suspect modules for the replacement schedule
• Module cleaning, shading checks and mounting hardware re-torquing

Inverters & distribution

• Inverter fault diagnosis, card/fan/component replacement, commissioning and parameter setting with OEM support
• Assist inverter capacity upsizing and re-cabling work
• Install and wire new DCDBs at sites where they are missing; fuse, SPD, MCB and isolator replacement in DCDB/ACDB
• Read and act on monitoring portal alarms and error codes

Earthing, LA & structure

• Install and test earth pits, earth continuity and lightning arrestor systems; measure earth resistance
• Assist structural repair and re-fixing of module mounting structures — columns, rafters, purlins, clamps
• Anti-corrosion treatment and hardware replacement

Cable management

• Full cable dressing rework: re-routing, clamping, conduit/tray work, ferruling and tagging as per standard
• Replace damaged DC/AC cables and conduits

Safety & documentation

• Work strictly under refinery work permits (height, electrical, hot work); no work without a valid permit
• Mandatory PPE, full-body harness and fall protection on all rooftop activity; LOTO before DC/AC isolation
• Daily job log, before/after photographs, test checklists and spares consumption records for each site
