Job Description – Senior Accountant

Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant / Accountant with approximately 10 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. The candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting, taxation, GST, TDS, financial reporting, costing, inventory accounting, and statutory compliance.

• Key ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day accounting operations, including purchase, sales, receipts, payments, journal entries, and ledger maintenance.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Handle GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory compliances.
• Prepare GST returns, reconciliations, and support GST audits.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, vendor/customer reconciliation, and outstanding follow-up.
• Maintain and reconcile bank accounts, general ledgers, and subsidiary ledgers.
• Handle manufacturing accounting, including inventory, raw material, WIP, finished goods, and production-related accounting.
• Assist in product costing, cost analysis, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate with auditors for statutory, tax, and internal audits.
• Prepare MIS reports, cash-flow statements, ageing reports, and management reports.
• Monitor inventory records and stock reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and applicable statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with production, purchase, sales, HR, and management teams on financial matters.
• Supervise junior accounting staff and ensure timely completion of accounting activities.
• Required SkillsStrong knowledge of manufacturing industry accounting.
• Excellent understanding of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
• Experience with Tally Prime/ERP/SAP or other accounting software.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management.
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
• Ability to independently manage the accounts function.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Preferred Candidate ProfileM.Com / B.Com from a recognized university.
• Approximately 10 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing company.
• Candidates from Meerut or nearby areas preferred.
• Experience handling accounts independently and dealing with auditors, consultants, banks, vendors, and statutory authorities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet compliance deadlines.
