About the Role

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting and financial operations of our sports manufacturing business. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, inventory accounting, and reconciliation, along with good command of accounting software and Excel.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day books of accounts and accounting records.
• Handle sales, purchase, expense, payment, receipt and journal entries.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Prepare and maintain bank, customer and vendor reconciliations.
• Maintain proper records of inventory, raw materials, finished goods and stock movements.
• Coordinate with the production and purchase teams for stock and material reconciliation.
• Assist in product costing, manufacturing expenses and gross margin analysis.
• Handle GST-related accounting, including purchase/sales data and reconciliation.
• Manage TDS calculations, deductions and related records.
• Prepare monthly accounting reports, MIS and other financial statements as required.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and provide regular reports to management.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing of accounts.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for audits and statutory compliance.
• Coordinate with external CA/auditors for accounting and compliance requirements.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness and timely recording of all financial transactions.
• Perform any other accounting and finance-related responsibilities assigned by management.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
• Good knowledge of GST and TDS.
• Proficiency in Tally/ERP accounting software.
• Good command of MS Excel.
• Experience with inventory and stock accounting preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good analytical and reconciliation skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in manufacturing, sports goods, consumer products, trading or inventory-based businesses will be preferred.

Education

B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / equivalent qualification preferred.
