Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Purchase meat, poultry, dairy, vegetables, spices, rice, dry goods and packaging for the base kitchen
  • Find, evaluate and negotiate with vendors on price, quality and credit terms
  • Inspect incoming material for quality, weight and freshness
  • Maintain stock levels, run regular stock counts and keep wastage low
  • Track rates and food cost, and keep the price list updated
  • Check vendor bills against POs and GST invoices before passing to accounts
  • Coordinate daily with the Head Chef and outlet managers
  • Ensure FSSAI compliance for vendors and stored materials

Requirements

  • Graduate; Hotel Management or Supply Chain background preferred
  • 3–6 years of purchase experience in a restaurant chain, central kitchen, hotel or caterer
  • Good knowledge of meat, dairy and spice quality
  • Familiar with Tricity wholesale markets and suppliers
  • Comfortable with Excel / Google Sheets; Pet Pooja experience is a plus
  • Hindi and Punjabi required; working English
