AUDIT ASSISTANT MANAGER -ACCOUNTING & TAX

Job DescriptionPosition SummaryThe QA/QC Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and completeness in all accounting and tax work performed by team members. This role bridges internal quality assurance with client satisfaction, managing quality reviews, client communication, and coordination with internal and external service providers.

Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Assurance & Review

●     Review all accounting and tax work completed by team members before client delivery

●     Verify accuracy of financial statements, tax calculations, journal entries, and compliance documentation

●     Assess completeness of deliverables against client requirements and engagement checklists

●     Identify discrepancies, errors, and omissions with detailed feedback for corrective action

●     Maintain comprehensive QA review documentation and quality metrics

Client Interaction & Communication

●     Communicate with clients regarding deliverables, timelines, and quality standards

●     Address and respond to client queries, concerns, and clarification requests promptly

●     Manage escalations and work with the engagement team to resolve client concerns

●     Provide clients with quality assurance certifications and compliance confirmations

●     Gather feedback from clients to improve service quality and processes

Internal Coordination

●     Coordinate with team leads and managers on quality standards and best practices

●     Provide training and guidance to team members on quality requirements and compliance

●     Support engagement teams in meeting deadlines while maintaining quality standards

●     Prepare quality reports and performance metrics for management review

●     Collaborate with compliance and risk management teams on quality governance

Service Provider Coordination

●     Coordinate with external service providers (tax consultants, statutory auditors, etc.) on deliverables and timelines

●     Verify work quality from subcontractors and external partners

●     Manage interfaces between internal teams and external providers to ensure seamless coordination

●     Document and track outstanding items and follow-up actions from service providers

Required Qualifications

●     B.Com / M.Com / Inter CA/Inter CS / Inter CMA with Minimum 4-5 years of experience in accounting, tax, or audit services

●     Minimum 2-3 years in a quality assurance, review, or supervisory role

●     Deep expertise in Indian accounting standards (IND-AS/GAAP), tax compliance, and regulatory requirements

●     Strong understanding of service delivery processes and quality frameworks

Required SkillsTechnical Competencies

●     Expert knowledge of accounting standards and tax laws

●     Proficiency with accounting software (Tally, SAP, or similar ERP systems)

●     Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities
